(Not Fried) Fried Chicken Recipe
Making intentional choices. Isn’t that much better than letting circumstances move you around? I think so. Part of our incentive for moving last spring had to do with living a life more aligned with what is important to us these days. Taking better care of myself by becoming more fit and eating more healthily has been part of the package. I gotta tell you: it feels great!
I love being creative in the kitchen but (surprise!) I don’t like spending all of my time there. I’ve been exploring ways to get meals on the table that don’t take forever.
Although I appreciate the entire sensual experience of seeing, smelling, and tasting a good meal, the real reason we eat is to keep us fueled (note to self: remember this the next time you want a sugar fix!).
Of course there’s also that whole social aspect of sharing a meal with family and friends. And conjuring in the kitchen is a creative thing, too.
I’ve had my eye on the Philips Airfryer for a while and I was eager to try it for myself.
The Airfryer helps you create healthy, homemade meals in minutes—with less fat. You can use it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snacks. Bake, fry, roast and grill with little to no oil. Sound good? It is!
The fried chicken I just made was awesome. The Rapid Air technology made it truly crispy on the outside and still tender, juicy on the inside.
All I did was season the chicken with salt and pepper, brush it with egg white and coat it in bread crumbs. Following their instructions, I had it in the Airfryer for 17 to 22 minutes.
No grease splatters and no stove mess to clean up—my kind of frying!
I like that the Airfryer is fast and it’s easy to use. It’s even easy to clean because there’s a removable drawer and a food basket with a non-stick coating that is dishwasher safe.
You get your creative fix and a delicious, healthy meal is on the table in almost no time.
Fits my life style!
