Fun Food Ideas for Kids
Ever noticed how kids’ appetites wax and wane? Just when you think you’ve figured out their favorites and what they’ll actually eat…they won’t. I decided a long time ago I wouldn’t be one of those moms who ran her kitchen as if it were a restaurant with endless options. Holy moly. Who has time for that?
However, I admit I have been known to just try (a-hem) “one more” idea a time or two. I feel so bad when my little guys won’t eat what’s on our menu. No mom likes to think her precious is going hungry!
It’s no secret that I love to create in the kitchen. Experimenting with recipes and making them my own is one of my favorite things to do.
But I don’t always have time to do that. In addition to being a wife and a mom with two busy boys and all that means, my photography business has really grown this past year.
I’m loving it. But it doesn’t multiply the hours in my day. If you’re a mom, I know you get it.
So some days I rely on quick meals like the Sandwich Bros. Flatbread Pocket Sandwiches to get me out the door fast. Just like their tagline says, they are “Really…Really Tasty!”
And when I need to go the extra mile to entice my little guys to eat their fruit and vegetables, sometimes I just use my spiralizer and create plate art with their sandwiches.
Carrot curls and zucchini eyebrows somehow seem to taste better than plain veggie sticks. Kiwi eyes and apple smiles get ‘em every time!
And these Sandwich Bros. pockets aren’t just a pretty face. They’re protein packed for a guilt-free, fast snack (have one) or meal (have two!).
For snacks and light meals, choose Angus Cheeseburgers, Chicken Melts, Gyro Sliders or Italian Sausage. Find the Sandwich Bros. Flatbread Pockets at stores like Kroger, Costco, Sam’s and BJ’s.
Sign up with Sandwich Bros. for coupons, offers and news.
And I won’t judge if you let your kids “play” with their food. 🙂
