Easy Lunchbox Ideas with Wet Ones®

By  |

When Sam started school, I learned quickly that creating fun to eat lunches was the way to go. No one wants to eat a boring sandwich! I started experimenting with fun ideas and shapes to encourage Sam — who can be a picky eater sometimes — to enjoy his entire lunch at school. Sam loves to see what ideas I’ve included in his lunch and I have fun creating new ideas.

In addition to fun foods inside his lunchbox, I always include Wet Ones® as well. It didn’t take me long after he started junior kindergarten to realize that he wasn’t always washing his hands thoroughly enough at school. {After all, there are so many other things to be busy with than washing hands!} When I pack Wet Ones, I know that his hands are clean, germ free and ready to enjoy lunch.

Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish Crackers are one of Sam’s favorite things to eat. They’re tasty, crunchy and fun to serve! They’re the perfect addition to a lunchbox.

Cute Healthy Snack Idea

For this fun lunchbox idea, I used fruit to go along with the Goldfish Crackers. I made a fish out of oranges, along with blueberry “bubbles” and sugar snap peas for seaweed. Sam was delighted! To make it portable, you can make it in a to-go container. The sweet fruit with the salty crackers is a winning combo.

I also included a sweet treat: easy under the sea cupcakes. I think they turned out darling and they are so easy to make!

Goldfish Party Ideas

After the cupcakes cooled, I used my blue icing to frost them. I topped them with a few Goldfish Crackers and cut up green candy to look like seaweed. Not only are they fun for an afternoon treat, they’d be perfect for a beach themed birthday party.

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
