Drunken Raspberry Milkshake with Vodka Whipping Cream

Have you noticed when you’re fully engaged with a project you really enjoy, you almost can’t call it work, even if it is? That’s the way almost everything has been this summer. We’re still working on our new home but for the most part it’s been joy-work. I’ve continued to focus on the blog and I’m really pumped about new potentials. We’ve had lots of company so that means lots of food prep. But who can call coming up with (and tasting) recipe ideas like this Drunken Raspberry Milkshake hard labor?!
With friends coming over last weekend for an adults-only gathering, I wanted to serve something sweet and cool and slightly decadent. I was looking for something that could serve as a beverage or as an appealing partner to an appetizer bar.
First off I found these Magnum Double Dip ice cream bars at Target. I bought Double Raspberry. It’s a raspberry ice cream dipped in chocolate and raspberry sauce and then topped with more chocolate. Yum!
I may or may not have also tried some of the other flavors: caramel, peanut butter, vanilla and chocolate. You might call them the ultimate Belgian chocolate indulgence.
I decided to amp the taste extravagance by making a Drunken Raspberry Milkshake with vodka whipped cream. Talk about happy hour.
From now until 7/30/16 there’s a Magnum double dip offer at Target: in store get two for $7 on 3 pack; save 5% with Cartwheel. It’s the best kind of double dipping!
