Cream Cheese Almond Butter Dippers with Cinnamon Snack Grahams
Sam is having a great summer. Backyard tents, playing at the beach and making happy childhood memories are just what you wish for your child. It does this mom’s heart good to see him having so much fun! I notice hanging out in the fresh air and sunshine seem to have inspired a growth spurt, too. Or maybe it’s just because Sam turns seven this month (my baby!). I know he seems to have more of an appetite than ever.
I was a little concerned when we moved at the end of the school year that Sam wouldn’t have time to make any new friend connections. Thankfully, I was wrong. There are more kids in our new neighborhood than our old one and they’re a great group.
Whenever I ask Sam and his gang of buddies if anyone is hungry, the answer is always a resounding, “Yes!” Evidently smallish superheroes and sport legends need frequent fuel-ups.
So I’ve been making snacks. But they’ve got to be convenient and offer more than empty calories.
Whenever I find something that I deem nutritious and Sam and the guys give it a thumbs up, it goes on my list of snacks to repeat. I can hardly believe this is fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants me, but I’ve actually been compiling ideas for back-to-school snacks. I’m adding these dippers to the list.
Guess that’s what an awesome summer does for you. Our summer has been full but not frenzied in any way. It’s given me the opportunity to think ahead.
Horizon’s Grahams are made with organic whole wheat and not only are they delicious for noshing on their own, they partner well with lots of tastes.
The Grahams plus cream cheese and honeyed almond butter dip make a quick and tasty snack that I can feel good about serving. Sam and the boys definitely feel good about eating it!
