Coconut Hot Chocolate #StraussWaterBar
Weve really enjoyed our summer this year. Weve done some entertaining, enjoyed hanging out together, had relatives visit with us, and weve traveled FAR to visit family. Theres been all sorts of wonderful. Even though it is great to go visiting, there are some parts of traveling that are a bit challenging.
On our road trip, I found myself turning to bottled water and juices and pop when we were in hotels because I had no idea about the quality of water. The same was true when I arrived at my parents place because the tap water smelled and tasted so different than at home with our Strauss WaterBar.
I have always had difficulty drinking the optimal amount of water each day. I know water is essential for health. I know it makes up roughly 60% of body weight (and about 75% of the brain). I know it cushions joints, keeps skin moist, flushes toxins from organs, and transports oxygen and nutrients to cells.
But I have always had trouble drinking that optimal eight glasses a day. To be honest, some days I had trouble drinking two glasses of water. I realized while traveling how much the Strauss WaterBar is helping me. Not only does it taste great and is always readily available in plain sight on my countertop, it filters out 99% of the bacteria and retains the essential minerals. I love the stylish look and it doesnt take a lot of space. It is definitely more attractive, economical and easier than lugging bottled water home from the grocery. Plus, there is no plastic waste to deal with.
Beyond the cold, fresh water it provides, one of my favorite features with the Strauss WaterBar is that you can access hot water with the push of a button. Even in the summer I enjoy hot drinks. I always have a green tea in the morning. But I have also been experimenting with other options.
I recently made a recipe that needed coconut milk but only a few tablespoons. So I had practically a can full sitting in my fridge. I decided to try making coconut hot chocolate and it tasted great. The fact that it was ready in seconds because of my Strauss WaterBar was also a bonus. 🙂

- 1/2 cup canned coconut milk
- 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 cup hot water from Strauss WaterBar
- 1-3 teaspoons amber honey (to taste)
- Combine coconut milk and cocoa in a mug. Add hot water and stir. Add honey or your favorite sweetener to taste. I like sweetness, so I added 3 teaspoons.
