Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie

When Sam gets home from school, he’s hungry, so we’ve gotten into the habit of hanging out in the kitchen while we make a snack together. We sandwich in some silliness, too! We always try to see who can make each other laugh the most. It’s a terrific time to hear about what happened at school.
I’ve noticed when we’re both focusing on making something together, it seems Sam shares his feelings and thoughts quite readily. I’m banking on our time together making a lasting foundation for his growing-up years that carries us through the supposed tumultuous tween-teen years. I’m determined we are not having any schisms in our relationship. How’s that for planning ahead?! Besides, since the way to a man’s heart is reportedly through the stomach, a mom can play that card early on. 🙂
Sam loves peanut butter and I’m always looking for ways to include it in recipes. Peanut butter is more than a sandwich spread, it’s an upgrade! Who doesn’t love peanut butter fudge, peanut butter cookies, peanut butter energy bites, and peanut butter cake? It’s so versatile and with one jar, there’s endless inspiration for new recipes. Have you ever tried savory dishes like Asian chicken with peanut butter sauce and sweet potato stew with peanut butter? Winners! So is this peanut butter smoothie made with Kraft Peanut Butter with Chocolate.
- 1 frozen banana
- ½-1 cup milk (depending on how thick you want it)
- 1 heaping table spoon of Kraft Peanut Butter with Chocolate
- ¼ cup cottage cheese
- 1 T honey
- 1 T oats
- Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Top with mini chocolate chips. Be sure to lick the spoon.
