A Special Thanksgiving Centerpiece.. thanks to Frog Tape!
A Thanksgiving Party needs table decorations, right? In thinking ahead to the holiday themes, Ive been thinking of Thanksgiving, decorating ideas and what Thanksgiving means. I know a thankful heart is a happy heart and I want to foster all of the boy-joy I can! Even the best party supplies and celebrations fall pretty flat without a persons attitude of gratitude for what is being offered in all of the decorations. I decided the traditional turkey is a starting point for this years dessert table, but I wanted to have a little fun with him. Frog Tape has a new, chevron Shape Tape perfect for my turkeys tail feathers!
I did a rough sketch of what Tom would look like this year, and then I enlarged him on my copier and cut out all the pattern pieces. I used a pencil to trace around the patterns on colored cardstock and cut them out. I wanted the feathers to have brown around the outside, but fun colors in the middle; thats where the Frog Tape was so helpful. The Frog Tape has a paper liner backing the tape, so I cut a piece of tape and pulled off half of the liner. I placed the chevron tape where I wanted it and then pulled the rest of the liner off. I was surprised at how easily it worked. I did have the opportunity(!) to move the tape. I thought Id probably have to cut another paper feather, but I was glad to learn that you can easily reposition Frog Tape, even on paper!
