Thanksgiving Dessert Table Ideas

By  | Last Updated:

Boy, do I appreciate Thanksgiving parties, especially the dessert table! This gathering has an uncomplicated arrangement of treats to please a boy’s sweet tooth AND his mom’s artistic eye. Sunny, of Sunny Designs, has used texture and restrained color ideas for decorations that promote the Thanksgiving theme.

Sunny presents a happy table of cupcakes and desserts to let guests know, “I’m Thankful for You”! She backs the table against a cream colored, textured wall. Streaks of color culminate in a pouf of poms that point attention to the framed “I’m Thankful for You” sentiment. As attention settles back onto the table, a tree branch, festooned with mini paper roses, stands out with complementary color.

A basket holds cut-out hearts, ready for guests to write what they’re thankful for; they can then be tied to the tree. {You can see another Thanksgiving table decoration idea here as well.}

A grape vine pumpkin has center stage, but I’m sure the desserts won’t be ignored! This table offers: pumpkin pie parfaits, white chocolate cranberry cookies, apple/cranberry crisp with rum infused whipped cream and chocolate cream cupcakes. The cupcakes are in cute paper, patterned muffin sleeves. Instead of just plunking the table service down, Sunny has them wrapped in autumn orange napkins and ringed with themed medallions; they’re arranged in a brown-toned, decorative box.

Chestnuts in an apothecary jar and seasonal gourds lend more ornamental color. A lovely, textured table linen adds to the display, as does the festive “Thankful” banner which fronts the table.
