Madagascar Birthday Party

By  | Last Updated:

Over the last couple of years, I have probably seen the Madagascar movies 150 times. And that’s a conservative estimate as it is one of my son’s favorites. (I don’t know what it is about little kids wanting to watch the same thing over and over and then over again. So when I received this submission from Nat of Events by Nat I was super happy to feature it. She planned this Madagascar themed first birthday party for a little boy and I love how she was able to incorporate the feel of the movie without going overboard on the characters. But speaking of characters, isn’t that cake from  Blissfully Sweet  — with Melman, Gloria, Marty and Alex — in the crate insane/ amazing? More about the party in Nat’s own words as well as vendor credits at the end of the post.

ABOUT THE PARTY IN NAT’S OWN WORDS

I styled the table using the vibrant colours, orange, green, blue and yellow. The browns and whites complemented these bright colours. The sweet treats on the table included:

  • Snake bar
  • Chocolate cargo bars
  • Cakepops
  • Cookies
  • Cupcakes
  • Macarons
  • Chocolate Sticks
  • Rocky Gum Balls
  • Bananas
  • Leaves
  • Slimy Mudslide jelly

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. Madagascar Birthday Party

By  | Last Updated:

January and February are the hardest months weather-wise where I live. So it’s so fun to live vicariously through party photos and image warmer climates. This nautical birthday party was thrown for an eight year old boy. He loves swimming and everything nautical, so it was a natural theme. All the fabulous desserts were made by Cakealicious by Reem — and they also did the set up! I’m LOVING the cookies with the anchor and sailboat imprints.
