Little Man Boys’ Tea Party
A little man tea-party for boys? I played tea party when I was little, but it came in girl-pink, with frills and fancy china. When Lauren, of Capes and Crowns, told me about styling a Little Man Tea Party, I was curious until I saw what she had done; then I was sold! This idea is a departure from the more typical boy-theme parties, but with the right decoration supplies (think argyle), it is absolutely smashing! Jaunty caps and dapper bow ties seem to transform rough-and-tumble little fellows into well-behaved gentlemen who are quite content to consume cupcakes while enjoying a civilized round of croquet.

No dainty china for this Little Man Tea Party. The glassware chosen for the teapot and cups is substantive, not frilly, but its way past paper cup stage. I like the mood the antique buffet sets, too; somehow it just says, Refined mind your manners, yet the cheerful colors are anything but stuffy. The argyle sweater cake is topped with a teacup filled with miniature croquet mallets–so charmingly boyish.
A cookie collection in the shape of mallets, balls, a croquet field and bow ties, is sure to invite nibbling. The pedestals draw attention to the delightful cupcake creations, some of which are artfully decorated with personal likenesses.
Mallet Cake Pops, Argyle Mustache Cake Pops, Little Mister Macarons, and Cake Ups are all sure to satisfy the young gents.

The gentlemans table coordinates very well with the dessert buffet. Individual place settings are in the preferred argyle pattern and state, Gentlemen Only.
Water bottles are also wrapped in argyle. This tea party is sure to coax out your boys best behavior, but its not so fancy as to make a guy uncomfortable. Who knows? Maybe this will encourage your little man to want to wear something beside a superhero cape?!
