[Inspiration] This Party’s a Blast!

By  | Last Updated:

I first connected with Kate of Beautiful Days Events when I featured her stunning (I don’t use that word liberally, it really is) skating party back in January. So I am completely thrilled to feature her work, and the gorgeous photos of Geneve Hoffman, once again. Kate sent me photos from her son, Wyatt’s space-themed forth birthday party and the kids look like they’re having a blast (pun intended). I particularly love how she executed the paper lantern planets high above the room. I’ve always thought that it would be a great approach for our alien collection but have really struggled with how to do it well, and not cheesy. I think Kate’s approach is right on target for moms who care about how it looks and kids who just want it to be cool.

Kate says that the activities for this party included: some awesome sledding in our backyard, a coloring station with space themed coloring pages and spacemen and rocket shaped crayons from etsy, and a space hunt where the kids searched the house for felt stars, asteroids and space themed laminated pictures…and of course “rocket” balloons which were a big hit!

Check out more of Geneve’s great photos:

A party doesn’t get much more boy than this:

How adorable is Wyatt in his little outfit!!!?

Stephanie Keeping

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
