[Inspiration] Monster Truck Dessert Table

By  | Last Updated:

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that only on the Spaceships and Laser Beams blog can you put the words “Monster Truck” and “Dessert Table” together in a headline and not one person will bat an eye. Haha. The party was sent to me by Shae of Eventful Possibilities. She created it to celebrate her son’s fifth birthday. I swear I would feature this party for that cake alone. And Shae made it herself! I cannot get beyond how awesome the front of that truck looks coming out of the flames on the top of the cake. Talk about boy party inspiration.

I often feature the work of overachievers on this blog, and Shae is no exception. Here are some of the details of the party in her own words “Everyone was given their VIP pit passes once they arrived, and were instructed to proceed to the “Body Shop” where they could get tattooed and have their face painted…I had four different stations set up around the party area.  There was a Refueling Station (for drinks), the Monster Feast Station (for food), the Dessert Bar, and the Candy Buffet. Of course the kids loved the candy buffet, and the parents loved the toothbrush and toothpaste favors.  I got the idea from a party thrown by Crazy for Design posted on Amy Atlas.”

Check out some of my favorite photos below…

Be sure to visit Shae’s original post for lots more details.

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
