Bow Tie Easter Party for Your Little Man

By  | Last Updated:

Hello Spaceships & Laser Beams fans!  I’m Deanna from Mirabelle Creations and I’m thrilled to be here sharing some Easter ideas for you. This year, my Easter table will be giving a little nod to the little man in my life with a Seersucker and Bow Ties theme. I am going to show how you too can incorporate bow ties into your Easter party design.  If you don’t have any bow ties, you’re in luck!   Last week, Stephanie P. from Fourth and Hazel Photography shared a super simple DIY no-sew bow tie tutorial. Although I sewed the seersucker bow ties used in my party, Stephanie P’s fantastic tutorial will work great for these ideas.

1. Incorporate bow ties into the decorative items. For this dessert table, I simply used glue dots to attach bow ties to the ceramic bunny and to the hobnob vase that decorated the table.  The vase held blue hydrangeas, so adding the bow tie gives a slightly boyish feel the flowers.

2. Use bow ties on the serving pieces.  Again, glue dots were used to attach bow ties to serving pieces.  Bow ties decorated the cake stand pedestals that held the Vanilla Meringues and Assorted Macarons.  A hobnob dish that held Pocky Sticks and a glass jar filled with candy were also adorned with bow ties.  Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade was served in mason jars with bow ties attached to the front of them.

3. Using a bow tie as a cake decoration.  Angel Food Cake is one of my favorite desserts to serve at Easter.  I used a store bought cake and topped it with whipped topping and toasted coconut.  A bow tie wrapped around the cake served as a cute decoration for the cake.  Simply remove the bow tie before cutting.

4. Other uses for bow ties.  Finally, I used bow ties at the ends of the Happy Easter banner that hung above the drinks table.  Another idea for incorporating bow ties into your Easter party would be using as them as napkin toppers.  Bow ties would also make great favors for little party guests.  Not only do they work for boy guests, but they also make adorable hair bows for any little ladies that will attend your party.
