How to Throw a Teddy Bear Baby Shower

By  | Last Updated:

Hey everyone, Samantha from Sweet Eats Cakes back to share more birthday party planning ideas. So lately I have had a lot of baby shower cakes I have been asked to do. (Must be something in the water around here). So with that in mind I have designed a Teddy Bear Baby Shower for you guys. To top the cake for this party I will show you how to create an adorable edible fondant teddy bear.

Décor

• Blue, gray, and white streamers
• Blue, gray, and white balloons
• Stuffed teddy bears for centerpieces
• Nameplate that says “Baby” or “Boy”
In my last posted I showed you a step by step on how to create a cute matching nameplate for any theme.

Food

• A cute idea for the food is to serve items that bears would actually eat.
• Honey bar with lots of great things to dip including apples, muffins, berries, and fruits
• Another option is to serve honey sandwiches in the shape of bears using a simple cookie cutter
• If you are looking for more hearty options serve honey mustard dipping sauce with chicken nuggets, pretzels, hot dogs, and hamburgers.

Desserts

• Buttercream cake with fondant bear topper
• Cupcakes with icing color or blue, gray, and white to match
• Bear claws
• Honey grahams
• Bear cake pops
• Teddy bear sugar cookies
• Blue bear-y push pop or dessert shooters

Games

• Name that famous bear
• Teddy bear trivia
• Baby animal game
• Wishes for baby

Favors

• Each guest gets to take home a baby bear pot of honey

So there are some really cute ideas to bring together a fabulous teddy bear baby shower. Stay tuned for the baby bear edible cake topper that is just so cute you’ll want to gobble it up. Check out our Pinterest board for more great ideas and links to parties!
