C is For Cookie: A Boy’s Cookie Monster Birthday Party

By  | Last Updated:

The well-executed details in this boy’s Cookie Monster birthday party theme have me longing for cookies! Missy, of Sweetly Chic Events and Design, styled this darling milk and cookie celebration for her own little “cookie monster”. Using custom printables by Anders Ruff Custom Designs, inspired by the beloved character from Sesame Street, this party was full of appealing brown, white and blue decorations. It was beautifully photographed by Expressions by Nicole Marie.  Come swoon with me over the dessert table filled with beautiful cupcakes and treats; peek at the cookie and milk bar with impressive details.  This party is full of ideas you won’t want to miss!

When your child is smitten with the lovable Cookie Monster and has a thing for cookies himself, this theme is perfect!  Missy styled a gorgeous dessert table that definitely pays homage to our favorite blue, cookie-loving friend. Brown and blue paper, with polka-dots and cookie accents, is the recipe for one stylish dessert table backdrop. The striped paper medallions hanging from each corner and the framed printable feature look terrific.

Don’t miss the coordinating Cookie Monster cupcakes in printed wrappers.

I really like how Missy used a brown ruffle tablecloth with a blue and white chevron runner.  Her use of white cake stands and wooden crates not only added attractive levels to the display, but also allowed individual desserts to be appreciated.

For cookies to offer their utmost, there must be milk! Wrapped milk bottles, striped straws and a cookie topper invite the ultimate pairing. Cups of mini cookie treats probably enticed guests to “just have one”…and one…and one more! I love the “NOM NOM” 3-D letters Missy created using printable pattern paper that coordinated with the other party elements.  It really made a fun table accent and tied the styling together.

The guest table was a clear summons to good times! Little cookie monsters could find their seats easily with the darling cookie name banners.  Missy decoupaged that cute centerpiece for the middle of the table and added tall, clear glass vessels full of cookies. I love the googly-eyed plates!  Just that simple addition made a huge difference to the table.  Cute wooden Cookie Monster utensils by Sugar Coated Studio sat next to each plate. Mason jars dressed up with cookie labels and blue striped straws added sweet detailing.

A side table was transformed into an appealing milk bar with tissue paper décor and festive tassel garland from Snooty Blooms. I really like Missy’s repetitive use of oversized letters, too. In addition to the attractive milk dispenser and bottles, milk shake shooters were displayed on square white plates and looked absolutely delicious.

Boy's Sesame Street Cookie Monster Birthday Party Cookie Buffet Ideas

Missy created a totally separate cookie buffet where guests were invited to fill up their own mini cookie jars with treats to enjoy at home.  The fanciful framed menu informed guests of the delicious sounding options (me want one!).  Missy’s DIY awning made this a super cute addition to an already amazing party space.

In addition to reveling in all of the tempting treats, guests enjoyed playing “Pin the Cookie on the Cookie Monster” and even received a surprise visit from Cookie Monster himself!

What a delightful celebration!
