Using a variety of textures on the dessert table, along with slithering and scaly props, Yolanda executed a stylish look that both young and old would love.  Reptile themed party printables from Anders Ruff Custom Designs’ insects and reptiles collection were used as the basis for the party.  Yolanda combined shades of green, brown and orange to bring in that outdoor vibe.  The vibrant colors added to an already exciting atmosphere.  I love how Yolanda tied in a variety of leaves, branches, natural fabrics and reptile toys and props.

My favorite element of this party was the execution of the dessert table.  An impressive backdrop was created with a dark neutral fabric, hanging branch and vines.  The snake wrapped around the branch was an awesome touch!  Yolanda’s use of a light tablecloth allowed her desserts to be the stars of the table.  I love her use of vibrant, green wrapped boxes to display some of the sweet treats.  Even more incredible were the natural props such as wood logs, which acted both as serving dishes and scene setters for the setup. The colorful birthday name banner tied in all of the bright colors.

Take a closer look at the dessert offerings and you will see some pretty amazing things.  Cupcakes with printed toppers, colorful macarons, an awesome cake with edible rocks and coiled fondant snakes were just a few of the stunning desserts.  Candy bars were “creeped” out for the occasion with custom printable wrappers.  Adorable frog cake pops were surrounded by some awfully frightening creatures (thankfully, all of the reptiles were just pretend).  Dishes were filled with candy and perfectly coordinated with the theme.  I love the tall grasses and leaves interwoven into the display for that swamp-y jungle look.

Yolanda unified the dessert and dining tables by carrying the neutral palette with pops of vivid oranges and greens to the place settings.  Colorful printed signs were framed and served as centerpieces atop a faux grass runner.  Plastic reptiles dotted the table.  Bright place settings included lime green plates, orange napkins, a printable wrapped water bottle and paper straw with printable flag accent. Wooden cutlery rounded out the “natural” look.

Darling burlap favor bags were dressed up in printable thank you tags—a simple, but thoughtful way to show appreciation for guests who came to celebrate!
