10 Best Boy Party Ideas This Week

By  | Last Updated:

If there’s one thing we love around here, it’s a great boy party idea – whether it is a birthday, a boy baby shower, a baptism or Christening! And there’s no shortage of amazing boy party ideas featured every single week in the online space. With all of the activity uptick that arrives with the holiday season, you might not have so much time to spend checking out party ideas. Here’s a round-up of my 10 favorite boy party ideas from the past week! They include a Jake and the Neverland Pirate Party, a dinosaur themed third birthday party, a cool Scooby Doo themed party, a gorgeous first birthday as well as a beautiful gender-neutral baby shower where the mom-to-be didn’t know if she was having a boy or girl.

Best Boy Party Ideas

MY FAVORITE BOY PARTIES AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

1.) From Lettuce and Company, via Amy Atlas: Oranges and Lemons Baby Shower — Since mom-to-be didn’t know if she was expecting a boy or a girl, this party works well for either gender. I like the way this party “feels”; the texture of the rough brick and the antique wooden table are very appealing. A vintage pram used as a beverage display is quite clever. Even in the pictures, I think I can smell the oranges and lemons…mmm!

2.) From Pretty My Party: Jake and the Neverland Pirate — All the bright colors and friendly pirates just look like fun! I appreciate that this pirate party was done without any scary skulls, too.

3.) From In the Pink Weddings and Events via Kara’s Party Ideas: Dinosaur 3rd Birthday Party–Lots of bright color and texture work to make this party visually interesting and we all know boys LOVE dinosaurs. Having the cake elevated on a tall stand really lets it take center stage. I love the puppet show idea too; wonder what they said besides “Roar”?!

4.) From The Dessert Parlour via Amy Atlas: Mr. Men Guest Dessert Feature–I like the variety of stripes paired with the solid, bright primary colors in this novel party idea. The cake is especially winsome.

5.) From Studio Décor Events via Kara’s Party Ideas: Pinwheels and Kites First Birthday Party–Cheerful balloons, kites and pinwheels are teamed with a variety of patterns and just the right amount of green to look fresh. The attention to detail in this celebration is impeccable!

6.) From The Marshmallow Studio via Hostess With the Mostess: Spooky Scooby Doo “Haunted Carnival” Birthday Party–The probability of kid excitement over the carnival theme and bright colors, with lots of fun games and silly photo booth disguises, make this a party worth looking at.

7.) Boy’s Mad Science 9th Birthday–I’m always thrilled when we can feature customer parties on our blog and this one is spectacular! Char, the birthday boy’s mom, went all out creating a party that was not only visually exciting, it was a party filled with fun, learning activities, too.

8.) Thanksgiving Kids’ Table Decorations–Toni, at Design Dazzle, always comes up with ideas and inspiration for celebrating childhood. Not only do her Thanksgiving decorations look terrific, she helps you with the how-to-do it, too. On top of that, she shows how to engage your kids in the process.

9.) A Dog Themed 2nd Birthday Party–Kara, of KCUSTOMABLES, designed this darling party for her son’s birthday. I like how she included her son’s best pal and pet in celebrating this special day. Lots of boy blue and fun activities make this party a winner.

10.) 12 Thanksgiving Craft Ideas for Kids–Use these ideas to jump-start holiday fun (I can’t believe this post has been pinned more than 1000 times!). Of all the ideas included, I especially love this fun Turkey Headband Craft Kits for making turkey headbands for those who don’t have time to do a total DIY.

MY FAVORITE PINS THIS WEEK: These pins all caught my attention because each one uses common components in a unique way; they’re not difficult to replicate; and they yield spectacular results.

He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots.
