Easy Snack Station Ideas
For sure being Mom to a toddler is a fun roller coaster ride! Just when you think you’ve nailed the cute little guy’s personality, it changes!
My youngest has totally been a shy Mama’s Boy and I mean that in all the best ways. But lately he has surprised me with how comfortable he’s become at asserting himself.
The other day I was working on a photo set-up when I heard a commotion in the other room. You know how that goes. Boys are always making noise. But the pitch changes and YOU KNOW you better get there.
My quiet little one was not being quiet at all. The boys were having a very noisy bite fest! # Making memories.
It seems I have to say “no” and play ref a lot more these days. I like the silly fun and “yes” moments much better so I’m orchestrating scenarios where that can play out.
For example, we’re having a playdate with the neighbors so I put together a snack station on a rolling cart with a few Mom-approved snacks. The kids will play. The moms will talk.
My youngest can choose whatever he wants from that cart and I will say “yes”. Win-win. And we’ll all live happily ever after.
I’m not obsessive but I am careful about what I let my boys eat. I pay attention to ingredient labels because I’ve found a lot of stuff hiding in there that I don’t feel good about them eating regularly.
Gerber® Lil’ Beanies(TM) make my approved list. They’re a nutritious snack, they are not made with genetically engineered ingredients and my little guy especially loves the white cheddar and broccoli flavor.
Gerber® Lil’ Beanies(TM) are made from navy beans! They have 2 grams of protein and 1 gram of fiber per serving. They’re a baked puff so they aren’t so messy for a little one to eat on his own.
Oh happy day!
I bought my Gerber® Lil’ Beanies(TM) at Walmart. They’re in the baby aisle.
Check out Gerber® Lil’ Beanies(TM) here and head over to your local Walmart so you can say “yes” more often too!
