Easy Financial Support for Schools

By  |

We’ve been compensated for participating in this campaign, but all opinions are my own.

Now that I’ve been out of school for a few years, I’ve gained a whole new level of appreciation for good teachers and good schools. It’s true that parents and family experiences shape you, but schools exert a great deal of influence, too. Education isn’t just about reading, writing and arithmetic—although those topics are important. Because of the daily teacher/student and peer interactions, I’ve realized that teachers can deeply affect their student’s sense of personal value as well as their worldview. Schools that encourage a culture of honor and a standard of excellence greatly impact students in a lasting way—which can have a huge effect on all of society. Because of their standard of caring, I think my alma mater deserves to receive support from programs like the Tyson Project A+™.

Easy Financial Support for Schools

I was homeschooled for my elementary grades and then I attended a private school for my secondary classes. Of course I loved having my mom as my teacher but when I began attending day school, I was excited to be part of my class, too.  I was fortunate to have a school system where teachers were willing to invest in their students.

New School Fundraising Program

Many of the discussions in and out of the classroom shaped how I think about the world today. I appreciate that my school espoused family values and modeled moral behavior. I recognize that many of the teachers at my school made a lot of personal sacrifices to be there for their students. Tuition costs were kept to a minimum because the school and staff made every effort to make the school accessible to any family who wanted to be a part of it. That continues to be the way the school operates so I know any financial assistance is a boon to the program.

Although those experiences are a part of my past, I’m still grateful for the investments in my life. One of the ways I can “pay it forward” is to be financially supportive of my school today. With three busy boys and the high cost of living, our family, like many others, has many have-to’s in our budget. Collecting labels on the many Tyson™ products (like the popular 100% natural ingredients, all-white meat Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips™) and donating them to the school is a painless way to be supportive. I’m hoping many families will participate in the Tyson Project A+™ for New Covenant Christian Church School in Lansing, Michigan. Right now there is a packet of Tyson Project A+™ labels, worth $1000, for the school who receives the most nominations.

Please visit for details on how you can support your favorite school (maybe NCCS?). It’s easy to do—just as easy as the simple preparation of Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips™! There are a number of participating Tyson™ products to choose from, too.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson™. The opinions and text are all mine.
