It's always a great source of pride when I get to showcase work from Spaceships and Laser Beams. The past weekend we celebrated my nephew's 16th birthday. My sister-in-law did everything for the party and I was responsible for the dessert table. Since the birthday boy is a smart, outdoorsy kind of guy, I thought that Catherine's new Vintage Nautical birthday collection would work perfectly. With a wide range of ages at the party (from 2-65), I offered a variety of flavors to suit every taste palette. The cakes were 1) chocolate with vanillia bean icing and 2) orange basil with vanilla icing -- and the cupcakes were blueberry vanilla. Also, to reinforce the vintage nautical theme we had lemon sugar cookie sand dollars and ginger nautical knots. But I have to say that I think my favorite part of the table is Catherine's work.
